Siginik Energy to build 50MW new solar plant in Ghana

Siginik Energy Limited, a commercial rooftop solar power solutions company, will build a 50MW ground mounted tracking solar installation in Bole, Ghana.

The new ground mounted tracking solar installation will be located in northern region of Ghana. The new power plant is expected to generate 200 megawatts of power every year.

The solar installation will be the largest in West Africa. Siginik Energy Limited has signed a definitive Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG). The power produced will be purchased by the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) for a period of 25 years.

The project is expected to create approximately 800 skilled and highly skilled jobs in the Bole district of the northern region of Ghana as reported by news.peacefmonline.com.
