PetroEnvironment 2016 will be held under the patronage of H.R.H. Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Governor of the Eastern Province.

The 8th symposium and exhibition on environmental progress; PetroEnvironment will return to the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia in 2016. Taking place between 22 – 24 February, this year’s event will be held under the patronage of H.R.H. Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Governor of the Eastern Province.

The unique event will focus on the environmental progress in the petroleum and petrochemical industries, highlighting the importance of environmental and sustainability issues in the upstream and downstream sectors. The event will be held under the auspices of the Environmental Technology and Management Association (ETMA) and will unite all the environment and petroleum/petrochemical professionals to explore solutions to current and future challenges. The event will attract both local and international experts to discuss a number of issues and challenges that are currently of maximum importance in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The event will feature a range of interactive workshops across two days from 21-22 February 2016, which will cover a wide spectrum of the environmental sector such as remediation of petroleum hydrocarbon impacted sites and industrial hazardous waste management workshops. The symposium will take place from 22-24 February 2016 and will provide attendees with the opportunity to meet with senior level speakers and fellow delegates and provide an insight into the latest developments and upcoming challenges affecting the industry. The 2016 key note speakers will include, Dr. Abdul-Majeid Haddad, Regional Climate Change Coordinator, Manager of Implementation United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), Regional Office For West Asia (ROWA), Khalid Abuleif, Advisor to the Minister, Ministry of Petroleum & Mineral Resources, Dr. Benno Böer, Ecological Sciences Advisor – Africa, Science Specialist – Ethiopia, Yves Thelier, Vice-President, Oil & Gas, VEOLIA.
