“Versatile fan timer control simplifies retrofits, speeds installation, and enhances oil furnace comfort and reliability”

Hydrolevel Company, a leading manufacturer of temperature and liquid level controls for residential and commercial heating applications, is proud to highlight its OFC‑5023 Oil Furnace Fan Timer Control, a modern control solution specifically designed for oil furnaces to help ensure reliable and efficient system operation. Engineered as an oil furnace fan timer control for 2‑ or 3‑speed PSC motors, the OFC‑5023 allows one control to work across a wide range of furnace configurations, simplifying replacement for contractors in the field. As a direct replacement for common oil furnace fan timers, including UTEC Models 1158‑100, 110, 120 and Resideo ST9103A, it enables fast change‑outs with minimal wiring changes so contractors can complete jobs quickly and reduce call‑backs.

Built with installer‑friendly details, the OFC‑5023 uses industry‑standard wiring terminals and relays to make installation familiar and straightforward, reducing wiring errors and helping ensure long‑term reliability. The thermostat and transformer terminals for 24 V control support standard low‑voltage thermostats, cooling, and dehumidification for seamless integration with existing accessories. On the line‑voltage side, blower outputs for COOL, HEAT, LOW, and continuous fan provide flexible fan control that improves comfort and air distribution throughout the home. The dedicated 120 VAC HUM and EAC outputs allow direct control of a humidifier and electronic air cleaner without extra relays.

To support fast and accurate diagnostics, the OFC‑5023 incorporates easy‑to‑understand status LEDs for thermostat calls at the W, Y, G, and Dh terminals, along with BURNER ON and BLOWER ON indicators that give technicians instant confirmation of system calls and outputs. In addition, LIMIT OPEN and SYS OK LEDs clearly indicate limit status, control self‑check status, and 24 V issues for simplified troubleshooting.

For greater comfort and efficiency, the OFC‑5023 offers field‑adjustable blower ON and OFF delays that allow contractors to fine‑tune blower timing to balance comfort, noise, and system efficiency while extracting more residual heat from the furnace. The counterflow ON/OFF selection with adjustable ON delay supports down‑flow and counter‑flow installations with proper blower timing so the same universal control can be used across multiple furnace orientations.

An intuitive DIP switch layout lets installers match the control to 2‑ or 3‑speed motors and set ON/OFF delays, providing quick, switch‑based customization, with no programming tools required, and saving time during installation and service while ensuring proper furnace operation. An organized board layout with clearly labeled components and terminals makes installation and service more intuitive. Its integrated dehumidifier (Dh) terminal coordinates fan operation with dehumidification calls to improve indoor comfort and moisture control without additional modules or complex wiring.

Together, these features position the OFC‑5023 as a versatile, installer‑friendly, and highly reliable oil furnace control that streamlines retrofits, simplifies wiring, and enhances comfort and performance.
The post Hydrolevel Highlights OFC‑5023 Oil Furnace Control first appeared on Power Info Today.

The UK’s leading lighting specification event brings together hundreds of brands, inspiring content and the people shaping the future of lighting – with free registration now open.

LiGHT 26, the UK’s only trade show dedicated to high-end lighting specification, returns to the Business Design Centre in Islington, London, on the 18th and 19th of November 2026, bringing together the lighting and design community for two days of product discovery, expert insight and valuable industry connection.

Whether specifying an upcoming project, searching for new suppliers, discovering the latest technologies or simply looking to stay ahead of emerging trends, LiGHT 26 provides a unique opportunity to explore the very best of the lighting industry – all under one roof.

Since launching in 2022, LiGHT has quickly established itself as a key date in the calendar for architects, interior designers, lighting designers, engineers, consultants and specifiers, offering a dedicated platform to discover new products, meet leading manufacturers and connect with the people behind some of the most innovative lighting projects.

For two days, the Business Design Centre will become a hub of creativity, collaboration and conversation, with hundreds of leading architectural and decorative lighting brands showcasing the latest products, technologies and solutions. From cutting-edge lighting systems and controls to decorative fittings, technical innovations and smart building technologies, visitors will have the chance to experience new ideas first-hand and discover products before they are specified on future projects.

Returning for LiGHT 26, the Technical Zone will provide a dedicated area for brands specialising in lighting controls, emergency lighting, OEM components, lamps, gear, connected technologies and more. Reflecting the growing importance of intelligent and integrated lighting solutions, the zone offers visitors the chance to explore the technologies driving the future of sustainable and efficient design.

Beyond the exhibition floor, LiGHT 26 will deliver an inspiring programme of talks and discussions, bringing together influential voices from across the lighting, architecture and design communities. Curated by [d]arc media, the [d]arc thoughts talk programme will explore the latest challenges, opportunities and ideas shaping the future of lighting, with speaker announcements for this and the splinter talks programme in the Associations Lounge to follow.

Adding another creative dimension to the show, planning is already well underway for the LiGHT 26 Art Installation, which will once again bring together lighting, creativity and design to create a memorable centrepiece for visitors to experience during the exhibition. Further details will be revealed in the coming months, with visitors invited to experience this unique feature during the show.

Networking remains at the heart of the LiGHT experience. From conversations with exhibitors and industry experts to informal catch-ups with peers, the event provides the perfect environment to build relationships, exchange ideas and discover new opportunities. The popular late-night drinks reception will also return, offering visitors and exhibitors the chance to continue conversations in a more relaxed social setting after the first day of the show.

LiGHT 26 also marks the first edition of the exhibition under the ownership of Messe Frankfurt UK, following the acquisition of LiGHT Expo London. Now part of Messe Frankfurt’s internationally recognised portfolio, the exhibition will continue to build on the strong foundations established since its launch, while retaining the community-focused identity that has made LiGHT such a valued event within the lighting industry.

RWE has commissioned the Aldenhoven wind farm in the Düren region, North Rhine-Westphalia, in Germany; Another addition to the renewable capacity of North Rhine-Westphalia. The plant is equipped with a total installed capacity of 34.2 megawatts and has six 5.7 MW land-based turbines installed on reclaimed land taken from the Inden opencast mine. The project started in spring 2024.

Beyond generating a clean source of power, the project benefits local municipalities. RWE pays 0.2 euro cents per kilowatt hour of electricity generated. The Aldenhoven wind farm is expected to generate revenue of upto €150,000 annually. The company has confirmed an investment decision to add two further turbines, each with a capacity of 7 MW, near the Düren-Merken wind farm. Construction of these units is scheduled to begin at the start of next year.

Katja Wünschel, CEO RWE Renewables Europe & Australia, commented: “We consider the Rhenish lignite area to be an ideal location for wind power. We have already installed wind turbines with a combined output of 249 MW. We are currently constructing a further 77 MW, and more projects are ready and waiting. The Aldenhoven wind farm is a prime example of efficient electricity generation on recultivated land. It demonstrates successful collaboration with the relevant authorities and local communities, as well as structural change in action. Six wind turbines can now generate electricity for an estimated 24,000 households on the site of the former Inden opencast mine. Many thanks to the RWE team and our partners.”

Onshore wind remains a critical element in Germany’s transition to a low-carbon future. RWE continues to expand its domestic infrastructure, with 170 MW planned capacity and 676 MW already operational across the country. In the Rhenish lignite region alone, 77 MW with 249 MW operational. With headquarters in Essen and nine regional offices across the country, RWE is placing itself at the heart of Germany’s changing wind and solar future.
The post RWE Commissions 34.2 MW Aldenhoven Wind Farm in Germany first appeared on Power Info Today.
