Lubmarine, a division of TotalEnergies Lubrifiants, has been awarded a 3-year extension for the supply of lubricating oil to the Panama Canal Miraflores power plant located near the canal’s locks, a few miles from Panama City.

Since 2013, Lubmarine – in conjunction with its Panamanian partner Maxum Panama – has been supplying its premium cylinder and system oils – Talusia Universal and Atlanta Marine D 3005 – for the MAN B&W 12K80MC two stroke engines used within the Miraflores plant.

According to Lubmarine’s Business director for the Americas, Arnaud Bourhis, the contract extension reflects the quality of both the long-standing relationship between Lubmarine and Maxum Panama and the quality of products supplied.

“We are delighted to be able to announce this contract extension to supply the Panama Canal Powerplant with our Talusia Universal and Atlanta Marine D 3005 products. This is the latest success from our strong partnership with Maxum Panama and by the end of this contract extension we would have been continuously supplying the Panama Canal Authority for over 10 years,” said Arnaud.

Lubmarine has been working in Panama since 2011 under a marketing cooperation agreement with Maxum Panama Oil Services, which includes blending and distribution of marine and power plant lubricating solutions for all customers in Panama.
