Xcel Energy has selected Outland Energy Services to provide operations and maintenance services at three of its wind farms generating 328MW of clean energy in US.

The company will provide the services under the contract until 2017. Outland vice president and general counsel Cam Winton said the company appreciates the confidence that Xcel has shown in Outland by awarding Outland a contract that lasts until 2017.

“Outland looks forward to providing safe, high-quality services as we optimize the performance of Xcel’s wind farms,” Winton added. The company will provide full-time services for the 201MW Nobles wind farm located in Nobles County and the 100.5 MW Grand Meadow wind farm in Mower County, Minnesota.

Both the wind farms are using GE 1.5MW wind turbines. It will also provide full-time services for the 26.5MW Ponnequin site which uses both Vestas 660kW and NEG-Micon 750kW wind turbines in Colorado.
