International technology group ANDRITZ announced it has received an order from the KC Group to supply turbines, generators and auxiliaries for the 32 Megawatt Karuwa Seti hydropower plant.

The contract comprises design, engineering, manufacture, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of three 10.66 MW Francis turbines and generators as well as auxiliaries for the electrical and mechanical equipment, the company said in a statement without disclosing the value of the order.

The project is expected to start operations in March 2023. KC Group Nepal is a private company with diversified businesses and targets to operate 100 MW of combined, renewable energy production by the end of 2023.

ANDRITZ’ Indian subsidiary with manufacturing facilities at Mandideep and Prithla is responsible for the execution of the contract.
