BayWa r.e. renewable energy is building the 19.5MWp Great Glemham solar farm at Parham Airfield in Suffolk, the UK, with construction set to complete by October 2013.

To be equipped with Trina and Yingli polycrystalline modules, the fixed tilt PV plant is likely to generate around 19GWh annually.

Throughout its 20-year lifespan, the project will generate enough electricity to power around 5,000 average British households and curb CO2 reductions of around 277,000 tons annually.

BayWa r.e. is constructing solar project totaling around 40MWp capacity in the UK and is yet to begin work on another 10MWp shortly.

Besides, it plans to develop projects with at least the same capacity in the next year and is also expanding its network of local project developers and service providers.
