Nordex has obtained a new order from Italy. The company will supply ten N131 / 3600 wind turbines designed for a 35 MW wind farm in the Basilicata region of southern Italy. The order also includes a service contract for the wind turbines, initially for two years.

Project and client name is not disclosed as per client request.

The Nordex Group will supply the N131 / 3600 wind turbines in the 3.5 MW operating mode on steel tube towers with a hub height of 114 meters. The wind turbines will be delivered and installed in May this year, and the wind farm will be completed in late fall 2021. Subsequently, Nordex-Service will service the turbines from the nearby Service Point in Policoro.

The Group has installed more than 32 GW of wind power capacity in more than 40 markets and in 2020 generated revenues of EUR 4.6 billion. The company currently employs a staff of approx. 8,500. Joint manufacturing capacity includes factories in Germany, Spain, Brazil, the United States, India and Mexico. The product portfolio focuses on onshore turbines in the 4 to 5.X MW class, which are tailor-made for the market requirements of countries with limited space and regions with limited grid capacity.
