Solon sells 2.7MW Italian solar power plant

Solon has sold a solar power plant with a capacity of 2.72MW in Apulia, southern Italy, to a family office based in Berlin, Germany.

The sale also includes a five-year service and maintenance agreement for Solon.The power plant, located in the small town of Orta Nova, has an annual output of about 4,000MWh of electricity, which is enough to power 1,050 homes and save about 2,800 tons of CO2 emissions every year.

The power plant was connected to the grid at the end of August and is therefore subject to the Conto Energia IV feed-in tariff.DF Holding secured and prepared the site for construction while Solon was in charge of the planning, construction and project management.Solon built the frame-mounted system on 10ha of former agricultural land in just over three months.Solon is a solar module manufacturer in Europe and suppliers of solar system technology for large-scale roof-mounted and ground-mounted systems.
