US-based energy company Techren Solar has secured right-of-way (ROW) from Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to build transmission lines for 300MW solar project in Nevada, US.

The company secured the approval to build lines on 98 acres of federal land through an existing transmission corridor. These lines will provide interconnection between the Eldorado and Marketplace substations and the 300MW photovoltaic plant, Nevada 300, in Boulder City.

The $800m project is expected to produce energy to cater to needs of 75,000 households in Nevada.

In 2009, BLM made a commitment to help the nation reach its clean energy future by guaranteeing coordinated processing, full environmental analysis and public review for specific renewable energy projects.
