State-owned, IREDA, on Monday said it has entered a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with SJVN where it would provide services for green energy projects.

According to the MoU, it would undertake techno-financial due diligence of renewable energy, energy efficiency, and conservation projects for SJVN.

Under the MoU, IREDA will also assist SJVN in developing an action plan to create and acquire renewable energy projects for the next five years.

“The MoU is a transformational opportunity for IREDA and SJVN to work together forming a perfect synergy between both the organisations. It will also serve to facilitate knowledge, technology transfer, and provide consultancy and research services, which will contribute to driving sustainable development of the country,” said Pradip Kumar Das, CMD, IREDA.

SJVN is presently developing 100-megawatt (MW) Dholera solar power project and 100-MW Raghanseda solar project in Gujarat.
