JA Solar has signed an agreement with solar power project developer Solarhybrid to supply modules for a solar power plant in Halle, Germany.

The company will deliver about 19MW of high-efficiency photovoltaic (PV) modules for Solarhybrid’s Allstedt I solar project.

The utility-scale solar power plant, located on a former military airfield, is expected to generate 19.03 million kWh of electricity per year.Allstedt I will also reduce CO2 emissions by about 266,381 tons over a service period of 20 years.China-based JA Solar is a manufacturer of high-performance solar cells and solar power products.
