Spanish independent photo-voltaic solar energy producer T-Solar Group has connected its second solar photovoltaic plant in India.

Located in the north Indian state of Gujarat, the plant has an installed capacity of 12.3MW, with the capability to generate 19.4GWh annually.

The power plant comprises 96,885 panels installed across an area of 36.4ha. Besides the Gujarat plant, the company also another 5 MWp photovoltaic power plant in Osiyan, Rajasthan, that has been operational since October 2011, providing the electricity grid with 8.5 GWh a year.

The company has made a total investment of €34m on the two plants, which generate enough energy to supply to over 49,000 people.
