Availon, the leading cross-brand provider of wind turbine generator services, announced today positive developments of its business  Japan, a market where they have received an increasing number of orders for main wind turbine generator components.

Availon addresses the needs of the booming Japanese market in collaboration with local company EOS Engineering & Service Co., LTD, with whom they have established a successful and growing partnership over the last five years. Japan imports most components for wind turbine generators – in particular from Europe. Thanks to its excellent purchasing conditions, Availon can provide the required replacement parts to EOS quickly, reliably and at competitive prices.

“EOS Engineering & Service and Availon share the approach to provide maximum availability and efficiency of the wind turbine generators. Know-how and reliability characterize our partnership. Our activities have been growing extremely dynamically, thanks to a strong demand for our offering in what’s clearly becoming a very busy market. Thanks to these positive developments, EOS has become one of the most significant clients in the replacement part business of Availon”, said Markus Spitzer, Managing Director of Availon.

The cooperation started out with Availon’s delivery of grid coupling contactors for wind turbine generators of the type GE®1.5, nowadays it also includes delivering main components like gearboxes, generators or main bearings. EOS Engineering & Service takes care of about 250 wind turbines, including 180 of the type GE® 1.5.
