The Nordic Investment Bank in partnership with Axis Bank has provided a $50m loan to Beta Wind Farm for development of seven wind turbine parks in India.

Two units will be built in Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat while five units are being constructed in the state of Tamil Nadu, amounting to 300MW. A total of 208 wind turbines of 0.85-2.10 MW will be procured from Vestas, Suzlon, Gamesa, GE and LSML for the proposed wind farms. The company secured the finance where HSBC acted as its financial adviser.
