Spanish company Gamesa has secured an engineering, procurement and construction contract from Indian public sector enterprise SJVN for the 47.6MW to the wind farm in Maharastra.

The scope of the contract includes the installation of 56 Gamesa 850 kW turbines alongside a ten-year operation and maintenance award.

“Gamesa takes immense pride to welcome SJVN in the wind energy customer base and the contract further demonstrates the credibility enjoyed by the Spanish wind energy major for being the most preferred destination for foraying into wind energy sector,” said Kymal.

The project is expected to be commissioned within 8 months of the construction date and and consolidates Gamesa’s public sector undertaking customer portfolio in the state Maharashtra.
