Nordex has got new wind turbine orders that total 508 MW, including the first order for its N175/6.X turbines in Canada.

These orders, which have been placed by undisclosed customers, go on to involve the supply as well asย the installation of 73 turbines to be rolled outย in 2027 and 2028, with each of the contracts accompanied by the long-term servicing agreements for equipment.

They happen to include both the N163 turbines as well as the first deployment of N175/6.X turbines, hence marking the entry of this model within the Canadian market.

The new wind turbine orders would include turbines that are crafted for cold climates and are also going to feature the Advanced Anti-Icing System fromย Nordexย on the rotor blades in order to help maintain high availability at the time of harsh Canadian winters through decreasing the ice-related downtime.

The company, however, has not disclosed the names of the customers or even the specific wind farms that are involved in such projects.

Manav Sharma, theย North America CEO of Nordicย Group, said that theyย are indeed thankful for the continued trust of their customers. The orders further go ahead and strengthen the market position of Nordex Group in Canada.

He added that their proven anti-icing technology consistently continues to be a major factor for success across the cold climate regions, and now due to the addition of N175 to their offered products portfolioย in Canada, they can help their customers maximize the energy production all year round and enable further reduction in the levelized energy cost.

It is well to be noted that Nordex has installed almost 57 GW of wind power capacity in over 40 markets since the time it started.

The manufacturing network that Nordex has extends to countries such as Brazil, Germany, India, Mexico, and Spain, as well as the US. The product range of the company focuses on the onshore turbines in 4โ€“7 MW classes that are apparently developed so as to meet the market demands acrossย countries having limited available land and also regions that face constraints inย grid.

In December 2025, Nordex went ahead and secured contracts fromย Alliant Energy in order to supply wind turbines across Iowa, US, thereby marking a prominent step forward when it comes to wind energy within the region.
