US-based engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) company McDermott International announced that its subsidiary has won two offshore projects together, worth $900m from an unnamed client in Arabian Gulf.

Under the first project, McDermott will be responsible for the EPCI of a new tie-in platform, with 3,200t topside and six-pile jacket, two auxiliary platforms, jackets and bridges and five observation platforms.

The project work will also involve EPCI of 72km of pipelines and 45km of subsea cables. ย In addition, the project scope includes brownfield work comprising upgrades to five platforms with new main, mezzanine, cellar and helicopter decks and new boat landings.

Project is expected to complete in the third quarter of 2015. ย The second project includes fabrication, transportation and installation of five drill support structures weighing a total of 7,993t in water depths ranging from 30m to 65m.

The project is expected to be completed, including hookup and commissioning in the first quarter of 2014.
