The Central Energy Fund (CEF) Group will participate in Africa Energy Week (AEW) 2026, scheduled for 12–16 October 2026 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC), South Africa. The delegation will be led by Group Chairperson Ms. Ayanda Noah, accompanied by CEOs of CEF Group subsidiaries, non-executive directors and senior executives. During the event, the delegation will engage with government representatives, industry leaders, investors, development finance institutions, technical experts, energy stakeholders and the media on issues shaping South Africa’s and the continent’s energy future.

The group’s participation comes as South Africa and other African countries seek to strengthen energy security, expand energy infrastructure, attract investment, support industrialisation and ensure energy resources contribute to economic development and job creation. Representatives will take part in high-level panel discussions and sessions covering different segments of the energy value chain.

The programme will begin on 12 October with the 8th Meeting of the APPO NOC CEOs Forum, scheduled from 09h00 to 10h00 in the Blue Bird Sonia Room, addressing the appointment of the SANPC CEO as the new APPO Chairperson. On 13 October, SANPC CEO Mr. Godfrey Moagi will participate in sessions at the Elephant Stage, Ballroom East, under the theme Invest in SA: Fuelling the Future of Downstream Energy Market. On 14 October, Ms. Ayanda Noah will deliver a keynote address at the Rhino Stage, Ballroom West, from 09h00 to 09h10 on financing large-scale energy projects, focusing on how developers, DFIs and private capital should fund Africa’s landmark infrastructure projects.

Later, Ms. Sesakho Magadla, MD: SANPC Refinery, will join the Women in Energy Roundtable on African women shaping the energy sector, from 09h15 to 10h00 at the Leopard Stage, Hall 1B. Dr. Tshepo Mokoka, CEF Group CEO, will participate in the Downstream & Petchem Forum from 13h30 to 14h15 at the same stage, discussing Africa’s refining requirements, capital allocation, project bankability and regional supply security.

The schedule continues on 15 October with Ms. Sesakho Magadla participating in the Power Africa Today Forum from 09h00 to 09h45 at the Buffalo Stage, Hall 1.4, addressing public-private partnership (PPP) models for power infrastructure development and system modernisation. From 09h30 to 10h15, Ms. Sandisiwe Ncemane, GM: New Markets & Business Analysis, will join the Energy Additions Forum at the Leopard Stage, Hall 1B, to discuss how infrastructure, transport and logistics can support growth across Africa’s energy value chain.

Dr. Bongani Sayidini, PASA CEO, and Ms. Nosizwe Nokwe-Macamo, Non-Exec Director – SANPC, are scheduled to participate in the Upstream and E&P Forum from 11h30 to 12h15 at the Lion Stage, Hall 1A. Their session will examine South Africa’s upstream sector and the Orange Basin’s progression from discovery to production. Through its participation in Africa Energy Week, the CEF Group will engage with stakeholders on investment, refining capacity, exploration and production, energy infrastructure and the region’s energy security priorities.

Members of the media will have opportunities to engage directly with CEF Group panellists and delegation members during the conference. Interviews will provide journalists with access to perspectives from the group’s leadership and executives on strategic priorities, investment programmes, its energy infrastructure portfolio, refining capacity, exploration and production, energy security and CEF’s role in supporting South Africa’s energy future. Interviews can be arranged in advance or during the conference, subject to availability.
