AmpereHour Energy and Ampt have entered a strategic partnership to expand the deployment of advanced battery energy storage solutions across India, South Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. Under the agreement, AmpereHour Energy, India’s #1 full-stack battery energy storage system provider, will distribute and service Ampt’s DC power management products in these markets.
Ampt is the #1 DC optimizer company for large-scale systems. The partnership combines Ampt’s String Optimizers and Direct-to-Battery (D2B) DC-coupled architecture with AmpereHour’s storage integration, energy management software, and project service capabilities to improve system efficiency, project profitability, and grid reliability for utility and commercial customers.
The collaboration will address several energy storage applications, including utility-scale Solar + BESS plants, data centres, DC charging infrastructure for EVs, solar repowering, PV-only systems, co-located green hydrogen projects, and battery capacity augmentation. Ampt’s Direct-to-Battery technology connects PV arrays directly to the battery DC bus, reducing total system CAPEX while improving round-trip energy efficiency, performance, and reliability. The integrated architecture combines AmpereHour’s energy storage system, DC-recombiner, and Energy Management System with Ampt String Optimizers.
These DC/DC converters operate within the PV array, performing string-level maximum power point tracking (MPPT) to increase solar production while following battery voltage during charging and discharging. By carrying out DC/DC conversion within the PV system instead of using a dedicated battery converter, the battery-centric design aims to deliver the responsiveness of a standalone storage system at a lower total system cost, improving project ROI.
Mr. Aaron Gomolak, Chief Executive Officer, Ampt, said: “Firm, dispatchable renewable power is now the defining requirement of the energy transition. Our partnership with AmpereHour accelerates the deployment of high-efficiency DC-coupled storage across India, the Middle East, Africa and other high-growth markets, helping hybrid projects capture more energy, lower capital costs and meet growing demand for clean, around-the-clock power.”
Mr. Ayush Misra, Co-founder & CEO, AmpereHour Energy, said: “Partnering with Ampt allows us to deliver state-of-the-art, cost-optimized solar-plus-storage solutions to our project developers and utility clients. Together, we are offering next-generation energy storage architectures engineered specifically for maximum performance and long-term durability.”
AmpereHour will present its energy storage technologies at Renewable Energy India Expo (REI), scheduled for October 22–24, 2026. The company will exhibit at Stand No. C407, Hall No. 14, featuring Direct-to-Battery (D2B) DC-Coupled PV + BESS Architecture, integrated BESS solutions, and its Energy Management System. Visitors can also access live system design evaluations, technical consultations, and performance pilot project insights from Ampt and AmpereHour engineering experts.
