Russian companies supported by the Russian Export Center (REC) will present energy and industrial technologies at African Energy Week 2026 in Cape Town, South Africa, as part of a business mission under the national Made in Russia brand. Beginning on 13 October 2026, the mission will bring together 13 companies seeking to establish business relationships with organisations in South Africa and other African countries.

Organised by the Russian Export Center, the initiative will focus on solutions for the oil and gas industry, alongside industrial equipment and technologies for energy-related projects. The delegation’s participation in African Energy Week will provide a platform for Russian manufacturers to engage with prospective partners and explore opportunities for cooperation across African markets.

The participating companies will showcase products and technologies covering oil and gas production, drilling and pipeline infrastructure. Their offerings will also include industrial equipment, instrumentation, control systems and digital infrastructure solutions. The programme will feature business-to-business (B2B) meetings with importers, distributors and industry companies from South Africa and other African countries.

These discussions are intended to help potential partners examine the solutions available from Russian manufacturers, assess local market requirements, review supply terms and identify areas for technological cooperation. The meetings will also provide an opportunity for companies to discuss how the presented products and technologies could address the requirements of energy and industrial projects.

The business mission aims to establish direct commercial contacts and develop long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships between Russian and African companies. For African businesses, the initiative offers access to suppliers of energy and industrial solutions at a single venue, providing an opportunity to engage with manufacturers and discuss potential areas of cooperation. The delegation’s presence at the event is intended to support business engagement between companies from the two regions and create opportunities to develop longer-term commercial relationships.

The Russian Export Center (REC, VEB.RF Group) is a government institution that supports non-resource, non-energy exports (NRE). It provides financial and non-financial assistance to companies across various industries throughout the different stages of entering international markets. The REC Group comprises the Russian Agency for Export Credit and Investment Insurance (EXIAR), ROSEXIMBANK and the REC Export School.
