Volue strengthens its leadership structure with a duo of senior appointments

Richard Schytte, who previously held the role of Volue’s VP of Nordic Sales, will now take on the CCO position, while Roland Peetz, who has been Volue’s SVP for Trading Solutions, will become SVP of Volue Energy Software. This new product line will see the merger of what were previously two separate entities: Trading Solutions and Energy Solutions.

Richard will be based in Volue’s Oslo headquarters, while Roland will operate from the company’s Munich base. Both senior hires will support Volue’s strategic focus and vision: to be the number one software and software-backed service provider to the European energy system by 2030.

Trond Straume, CEO, Volue, had this to say on the new product line and appointments. He said: “I am delighted to have secured Richard and Roland for their respective positions. Each brings a level of experience, expertise and knowledge to our senior management team, which will greatly enhance our day-to-day, operational and strategic offering.

“As CEO of Volue, I have long emphasised the value and importance I place in our people. Across the business, from Europe, the Nordics and East Asia, the team all work together with a dedication, talent, and drive to create success and unlock extraordinary value for our customers. I welcome Richard and Roland to their new roles with this context firmly in mind.

“Volue has strong ambitions to deliver value across the entire green energy value chain, and a natural step to support that was by combining our optimisation and trading solutions. With the move to Volue Energy Software, we will join forces, capacity, and competencies to become the leading vendor in this space. These senior appointments will support that.”

Volue’s market-leading products optimise energy production, trading, distribution and consumption. Among its international energy customers are eight of the ten largest European utilities. Volue also serves most of the Nordic grid operators and has a strong position among Norwegian municipalities, construction, and infrastructure developers.
