TAG Pipelines Sur S de RL de CV let a contract to ICA Fluor, a joint venture of Fluor Corp. and Empresas ICA SAB de CV, to build the 1.42 bcfd Ramones II Sur Gas Pipeline through San Luis Potosí, Queretaro, and Guanajuato states in Mexico.

ICA Fluor will conduct engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and start-up services for the 291.7-km, 42-in. OD pipeline. The line will use one compressor station, sited in the southern portion of the system. The companies expect second-quarter 2016 system completion.

Ramones II Sur is a segment of the integrated Los Ramones transportation system, supplying central Mexico with US natural gas exports. It is the third phase of a transportation system running from the US-Mexico border to Apaseo el Alto, Guanajuato. A 120-mile, 42-in. OD intrastate pipeline from the Agua Dulce Hub in Neuces County, Tex., will supply the system via NET Mexico Pipeline Partners LLC’s border export hub (OGJ Online, Nov. 19, 2013).

TAG Pipelines Sur is a joint venture between Mexico Power and Gas Ventures BV, a wholly owned subsidiary of GDF Suez, PMI Holdings BV, and TAG Pipelines S de RL de CV, an affiliate of Mexgas Supply and Mexgas Enterprises (affiliates of Pemex Gas).
