CWIEME Berlin introduces Nick Davison as new portfolio director and informs about implementing comprehensive health and safety measures for next year’s event
Hyve, the organiser of CWIEME, is introducing their new portfolio director Nick Davison for the global CWIEME platform, as well as sharing the special health and safety measures that will be taken at the Berlin event on 18-20 May 2021. CWIEME is the world’s largest digital and event platform dedicated to coil winding, transformers, electric motors, generators, and e-mobility.
Nick Davison, an experienced events portfolio director who’s worked in the industry for more than 20 years, spent 17 years at Ascential as portfolio director before moving to the Hyve Group. He has been looking after Breakbulk Events & Media for 2.5 years, with events in Bremen, Houston, and Dubai. He will now apply his wealth of experience to the CWIEME events taking place in Berlin and Shanghai, as well as continue to grow the digital knowledge hub for the industry.
“I am delighted to represent the leading, global platform for the industry. As the custodian of CWIEME, I am both excited and committed to bringing together our community and delivering the best possible experience and results for our exhibitors and visitors,” said Davison. “We know that the community is just as eager to resume face-to-face-meeting as we are. As the organiser, our top priority is the health and safety of all CWIEME Berlin 2021 participants amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. To provide a safe trade fair and networking environment, our COVID-19 taskforce has been working closely and tirelessly with major venues, industry associations, health & safety experts, local authorities and other event organisers in order to build up a comprehensive concept and ensure a safe event for visitors and exhibitors alike.”
CWIEME and the Hyve Group have implemented new additions to their already extensive health and safety measures at the event. Commitments to customers and visitors include:
- Social Distancing – Enhanced guidelines for set-up and break-down of events; physically distanced meeting area set-up; no handshake policy; managing crowd density to ensure an appropriate number of people at the venues during each show.
- Protect and Detect – Enhanced security checks; personal protective equipment supplies such as masks and gloves upon request; enhanced first aid and medical support; use of physical glass dividers or face visors at busy areas.
- Cleaning and Hygiene – Enhanced cleaning and availability of hand sanitisers at high traffic areas.
- Communication – Close monitoring of the COVID-19 developments and updates via website, emails, exhibitor zone & manuals, signage and announcements; customer service at hand.
These measures will ensure that the 25th edition of CWIEME Berlin will be a safe meeting place and a rewarding experience for everyone involved.
