Leading O&M professionals from the major wind operators, OEMs and service providers are preparing to learn and collaborate at the largest dedicated O&M meeting for the US wind industry this April 8-10 in Dallas. ย

Operation and maintenance leaders from companies including EDP Renewables, NextEra Energy Resources, FirstWind, Duke Energy, AES Wind Generation, TransAlta, Orion Renewable Energy Group, as well as GE Energy, Vestas, and Suzlon will all be gathering to collaborate on the key challenges and issues including post-warranty O&M strategy, CBM data analysis for fleet yield optimization and major component maintenance.

This comes at a time when up to $40billion wind assets are due to come out of their warranty period, presenting asset managers with the difficult challenge of establishing the best strategy to keep OPEX down and maintain a high yield to achieve power generation targets. ย Key discussions will include what are key considerations are in committing to a third party provider, extending the warranty period with the OEM and the challenges and issues related to creating and launching an in-house O&M team.
