Greenko Group and NIIF backed Ayana Renewable Power (Ayana) have entered into an association to offer standalone storage capability to develop agency and dispatchable RE options together with Round-the-Clock energy provide (RTC) of as much as 1 GW. This would be the first of its sort partnership between two impartial energy producers (IPP), the 2 corporations stated in a joint assertion.

The energy shall be supplied to numerous manufacturing industries like metal, alumimium and different manufacturing models and energy distribution corporations in India.

Greenko Group, which considers GIC of Singapore and ADIA amongst key shareholders, has supplied in whole 6,000 MWr of storage capability together with 1500 MWhr of storage capability within the first tranche from its distinctive off stream closed loop pumped storage undertaking (OCPSP) being developed at Pinnapuram, Andhra Pradesh. The Hyderabad headquartered firm that has been pivoting in direction of providing storage as an impartial service from a pure play impartial inexperienced energy producer is constructing a community of 4 50GWhrs or 10 GW storage capability in Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Karnataka. These amenities can even be linked to a cloud-based storage facility that may monitor demand and evacuation.

The Greenko-Ayana cooperation comes at a time when the Indian authorities is exploring delicensing of constructing of standalone battery storage techniques together with permitting their sale, lease or rent; and allow the sale of saved energy via PPAs and over exchanges, as a part of its upcoming coverage on energy storage techniques.
