LONGi, the world leading solar technology company, will exclusively supply 74 MW high-efficiency monocrystalline modules for the Wilkinson Solar Energy Center.

In parallel, Microsoft, has signed a 15-year power purchase agreement with Invenergy where Microsoft will become the owner.

The Wilkinson Solar Energy Center is located in Beaufort County, North Carolina. When completed, it will become the State of Carolina’s largest photovoltaic power plant and a landmark project by Microsoft in renewable energy investment.

The project is expected to generate US$20 million to the state in economic investments through tax payments, landowner lease payments, and wages and benefits for employees. It will also create more than 500 jobs during its construction phase.
