C Hidro Enerji Üretim A.S has awarded Pöyry with the feasibility studies and final design services assignments for Doganli 1, Doganli 2, Doganli 3 and Çukurca dams and hydroelectric power plants (HEPPs) in Turkey.

The assignments include the execution of the feasibility studies, final design studies, tender specifications for civil structures (dam, power intake, power tunnel and penstocks, spillway, diversion structures with two tunnels and bottom outlet) and related hydro-mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment. The projects will be executed jointly, with the local consortium partner Dolsar, up to the end of 2015.

The projects of Doganli and Çukurca cascade are located on the Zap River in the eastern part of Turkey, and developed by private investors in Turkey. The combined installed capacity of all 4 projects is around 735 MW with an annual generation of 2.246 GWh.

“As one of the world’s leading hydropower engineering consultancies, with an accumulated total installed capacity exceeding 100 000 MW, Pöyry continues to support the Turkish power sector in its rapid expansion”, says Didier Mallieu, Vice President of Pöyry’s Hydropower and Renewable Energy Global Competence Line.

The value of the orders are not disclosed. The orders will be recognised within the Energy Business Group order stock in Q3/2014.
