Background:

Clean Harbors is a leading provider of environmental, energy and industrial services with the largest hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal services.

Challenge:

The client had decentralized and undisciplined purchasing processes. The 240 field offices were not cost effective or efficient in purchasing for MRO.

Solution:

ATC partnered with the client to leverage purchasing processes and industry cost savings. A dedicated team was established to customize clients item master. Built an online catalog for more efficient use in purchasing MRO items, and to establish business rules to control purchasing process.

Results:

Overall, the solution enabled the client to reduce the number of invoices processed from over 10,000 to 24 (utility value) per year. The solution enhanced users’ productivity by significantly improving the MRO item ordering process. With delivered savings of 5-10% on purchases the client was able to see a greater bottom line.
