RES has been awarded a five year contract to provide O&M services to offshore transmission assets owned by Blue Transmission Walney 1 Ltd.

In addition to providing the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of the equipment, the contract will see RES apply its expertise in asset and site management, logistics, subsea surveys, and control centre services.

A spokesman for BTW1L, said:“Following a competitive bidding process RES was selected due to their open and collaborative approach, as well as its deep understanding of engineering, technical and operational matters in the offshore wind industry.”

Filippo Di Salle, RES AO&M General Manager, said:“Winning our first long term maintenance contract on an operating offshore wind farm is a great achievement for RES. We’ve been able to use our 10 years expertise in the operation and maintenance of offshore wind farms to great effect in successfully winning this project.”
